Before any of this was a career path, it was just puzzles. Rubik's cubes, brain-teaser games, anything with a trick to it — I'd buy it and take it apart until I found the trick. That instinct followed me into my first coding class, taught by someone who clearly did it out of love and not obligation, and later into an ethical hacking course the summer before college that sealed it — I was hooked on security.

From there I went to vo-tech for cybersecurity, and that's where web app security specifically grabbed me — along with programming. Here's where things stand:

AI is reshaping this whole field fast, so a good chunk of my time just goes into keeping up — new tools, new attack surfaces, new ways of building things.

I taught myself guitar about three years ago and I'm branching into other instruments now. I also tinker with homelab automation for basically the same reason I used to solve Rubik's cubes — it's just another puzzle. I'm not doing any of this because I have to. I'm here for the passion, and that's what actually keeps me motivated.
